In 2019，the protection of Chinese traditional opera was continued to deepen，and new progress was made in innovative inheritance and creative transformation. The general situation of the protection was as follows：the top-level thinking is attached importance to，and the implementation of strategies is accurate and in place；the forms of performance are diverse，and more attention is paid to the actual effect；the school education of traditional opera is constantly improved，and needs to be strengthened；the academic research of traditional opera is booming，and the research in the context of intangible cultural heritage needs to be strengthened. 2019 is a year for traditional opera and new media to embrace each other. While traditional opera and new media are integrated，it should be based on opera inheritors to ensure the cultural vitality of the heritage of traditional opera. The protection of traditional opera’s heritage is a systematic project，which has its own characteristics：in recent years，the international trend of anti globalization is surging up，racism and localism are rising. While reflecting on the negative impact of globalization，we should continue to promote the international consensus and influence of the concept of community of human destiny，and strengthen the cultural exchange of Chinese traditional opera. With the support and attention，traditional drama need more self reflection and continuous self-improvement，and the cultivation of opera talents is the key. In the context of intangible cultural heritage，it is still necessary to promote the investigation and research of the types of opera. Finally，it calls for further strengthening the governance of cyberspace to provide a clear network ecological environment for traditional opera.
