Industrial innovation is an important way and focus to promote high-quality economic development in China，and it is also the key to achieve breakthrough development for enterprises. This report establishes an index system for measuring industrial innovation capability from four aspects of innovation environment，innovation input，innovation process and innovation performance，collects relevant index data，makes a comprehensive analysis and comparison of the innovation ability of various industries by using principal component analysis，and summarizes the development types of innovation capability of 27 industries （excluding monopoly industries） through cluster analysis. Then，the index system of industrial innovation capability is weighted，four aspects and comprehensive innovation ability index of four major industries and manufacturing industries from 2013 to 2018 are compiled，and radar chart and trend chart are drawn to analyze the spatial and temporal differences of industrial innovation development. Based on the analysis results，some conclusions are drawn：the overall development of industrial innovation ability is rapid，the innovation input is high but the innovation output is not ideal.
