In 2019，with the goal of promoting the high-quality and balanced development of compulsory education，Guangzhou has taken multiple measures to continuously expand the scale and quality of compulsory education. However，Guangzhou’s compulsory education still suffers from problems such as large scale，high student-teacher ratio，few teachers with high academic qualifications，and insufficient per-student education fees and public funding. The supply and demand of degrees are contradictory，and the proportion of public and private institutions is not coordinated. Educational imbalance still exists. In the future，efforts should be focused on “balanced” and “high-quality”，and continue to increase the supply of high-quality degrees in compulsory education；rationally adjust the scale of private schools；implement the problem of children who are moving to Guangzhou；coordinate and promote the balanced development of compulsory education；optimization Compulsory education teacher team structure，improve the overall quality of the teacher team.
