During the 10 years since its return，Hong Kong’s economy has been in a prosperous period of high growth and low inflation. The financial industry has been flourished with a record high employment. In the year 2007，Hong Kong’s economy continued to expand comprehensively，performance of foreign trade is satisfactory，while the labor income continued to grow and employment prospects continued to improve，demand for labor continues to raise，the inflation of consumer price also climbed moderately. The 11th Five-Year Plan expressed clear support for the development of financial services，logistics，tourism，information and other service industry of Hong Kong to maintain its status as international center of financial，trade and shipping. In future，Hong Kong’s economy will be sound，and there will be intense competition in its international business environment.
