The GDP growth rate of Chongqing was higher than the national GDP growth rate，and the tax revenue and economy basically achieved coordinated development. The overall operation of major industries was stable，the flow of factors of production was accelerated，the function of tax and fee reduction was obvious，and the role as an important strategic fulcrum in the development of the western region was prominent. Compared with developed areas，the quality of economic operation in Chongqing is still low，the tax output rate is lower than the national average. The development of traditional advantageous industries such as automobiles has encountered difficulties. the development of high-tech industry lags behind，the modern service industry is not developed，and the development of private economy slows down. In 2020，affected by the epidemic situation of COVID-19，the uncertainty of economic and social development in Chongqing increased. In the face of challenges，Chongqing should persist in setting world-class standards，create an excellent business environment，boost market confidence，promote the further consolidation and development of advantageous industries，high-tech industries and modern service industries，improve the quality of economic operation，and unleash the potential for economic growth in order to achieve stable and sound economic development.
