2020 is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the French Communist Party. Since its founding in 1920，the French Communist Party has insisted on taking Marxist theory as its guiding ideology，safeguarding the interests of the working class as its fundamental task，and achieving communism as its goal. It has carried out many explorations on the theoretical and practical levels，which is very representative. The Communist Parties of developed capitalist countries occupy an important position in the international communist movement. In the context of new changes in the French political ecology，the French Communist Party convened the 38th Congress to elect a new general secretary and put forward the new guiding ideology of “Common France”. Strategically，the French Communist Party is actively exploring a new form of left-wing alliance，consolidating the party’s class foundation and expanding its social influence. However，from a realistic perspective，the French Communist Party has a long way to go to get rid of the trend of being marginalized.
