In 2020，under the superimposed influence of the COVID-19 epidemic and great changes unseen in a century，the world has entered a period of turbulent change. China，Vietnam and other socialist countries in the world have effectively managed the epidemic and achieved economic growth，demonstrating the superiority of the socialist system. Meanwhile，the spread of epidemics in Western countries，frequent social movements，the widening gap between the rich and the poor，and more prominent social inequality have exposed the shortcomings of capitalism，and the world pattern of “the eastern countries are rising while the western ones are descending” is even more obvious. From the beginning of 2021，the COVID-19 epidemic continued to spread in the West，while the 4 world socialist countries successfully held new Party congresses. The Communist Party of China is embarking on a new journey in welcoming its centennial birthday. After the US Biden administration came to power，it has been committed to promoting the so-called “democratic alliance”，and the intention to launch a “new cold war” is obvious. The international communist movement is facing both opportunities and challenges.
