With the long-term stable growth of China’s economy，the per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents is increasing，the tourism demand of Chinese residents is rising，and the travel ability is gradually enhanced. In order to comply with the developmental requirements of the times，China’s tourism industry must take the road of high-quality development，develop new forms of business，comprehensively improve the quality and level of the industry，continue to provide good-quality tourism products，and promote the in-depth development of tourism. As an upgraded version of the traditional accommodation industry，homestay has become an important content and hot spot in the development of tourism for its “warm accommodation and soul life” concept. This paper analyzes the development trend of homestay industry，focuses on its development direction，explores the systematic innovation path of homestay development to boost China’s homestay industry in the new era.
