China Industrial Design Institute （CIDI），a service platform for industrial design innovation in China，is one of the first that was established and cultivated by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Shanghai Municipal Government. In May 2019，CIDI released “CIDI+” strategy：to assemble innovation，to focus on the clusters innovation，to achieve the goal of building，extending，complementing and strengthening the industrial chains，and to accelerate the development of industrial innovation. Based in Shanghai，CIDI serves the whole country’s design industry of taking the Yangtze River Delta as the core. It has achieved initial contribution with the establishment of the “Shanghai Design 100+”，the Shanghai Industrial Design Center，the institute of emerging industries and online service platforms. In the future，CIDI will take the service of design and industrial innovation as a foundation and promote the service platform for it. In brief，we hope to contribute to China’s economic development with CIDI’s partners.
