In the era of “spirit of the craftsman” advocated by the whole society，the main purpose of this paper is to demonstrate and analyze the current situation and future of traditional craftsmen who have supported chinese economy for thousands of years. Through the classification and historical changes of traditional craftsmen，this paper discusses the future and challenges of traditional craftsmen by using the methods of documentary analysis and case analysis from several aspects：new social situation，tourism culture，e-commerce platform，era of globalization and morden technology. Thinking about the future of traditional craftsmen involves all aspects of society，in which economy is the main factor leading the development of traditional craftsmen. It is necessary to put forward some suggestions on the protection of the disappearing traditional craftsmen and their skills.
