Shenzhen’s industrial design has been developed for more than 30 years. It has grown rapidly from relying on market forces to win the title of “Design City”，and from leading domestic to going international. Shenzhen’s enterprises have repeatedly won Red Dot Awards and iF Awards，and other international awards which play the leading role all over the whole country for many years. Shenzhen’s industrial design has gradually become mature and stable. A complete set of industrial ecological chains，perfect talent training systems and government industry support policies composed of the soil for the prosperity and development of industrial design in Shenzhen. In general，in 2020，Shenzhen will create a good environment for the development of industrial design，and social organizations will give full play to the guiding role. However，as the front end of the manufacturing industry，industrial design will shoulder the burden of promoting the orderly，healthy and stable development of the manufacturing industry after the pandemic. We should give full play to Shenzhen’s driving strategy of “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and a pilot demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics”. We should pay close attention to Shenzhen’s strategic emerging sectors such as new energy，new materials and new generation information technology，as well as future industries such as life and health，robotics，wearable devices and intelligent devices，so as to achieve sustainable development power for the industry.
