The Yellow River is the mother river of Chinese nation，giving birth to the splendid Chinese civilization. The cultural heritages of the Yellow River in Henan province are rich in variety and quantity，which provide valuable resources for us to study the Yellow River culture and the Central Plains civilization. This article firstly sorts out the types of the cultural heritage of the Yellow River in Henan province，sums up the current situation of the cultural heritage protection，analyzes the existing problems of protection and utilization. And secondly，it promotes suggestions as follows：to establish an evaluation system，to improve systems and mechanisms，to coordinate systematic projects，to expand communication channels，innovate the training mode of intangible cultural heritage personnel，and innovate the transformation mode of the Yellow River cultural heritage. What has done above is for the purpose to provide cultural support in inheriting and promoting the Yellow River culture and systematically protection the Yellow River cultural heritage.
