In recent years，focusing on the spirit of the relevant documents of the central and local governments，adhering to the “people-oriented” concept and using modern high-tech means，Beijing museums have made some achievements in the renovation and maintenance of the museum buildings. At the same time，there are some problems such as the single source of funds，the hardly balance between the effective protection and rational utilization of cultural relics. In this regard，two suggestions are put forward in the report. One is to establish a cooperative mechanism between large and small storerooms. The other is to draw up “Architectural Design Standard for Museums of Historic Buildings” on the basis of the characteristics of ancient architectures and the existing standards.
