In the new era，traditional Chinese medicine is faced with new historical opportunities for development. The continuous improvement of people’s health demands has put forward new requests for the development of traditional Chinese medicine. The nation has fully affirmed the important role of developing traditional Chinese medicine in maintaining people’s health. Based on the Seven-in-one constitution theory of traditional Chinese medicine and performance evaluation theory of health system，this report defined the weight of each evaluation index by Delphi expert consultation method，and made comprehensive evaluation on the inter-provincial competitiveness of traditional Chinese medicine in China using national statistical data of traditional Chinese medicine field. The results shown that the development of traditional Chinese medicine in China has obvious regional characteristics，and the provincial development of traditional Chinese medicine cause was influenced by foundation of medical conditions of TCM，TCM education，and release and implement of TCM policies. Therefore，to fully understand the cultural basis，economic conditions and current development status of each province，and to formulate development direction of TCM which in line with local characteristics，would be the foundation for healthy development of traditional Chinese medicine cause.
