In the past 30 years，China-Micronesia relations has gone steadily and far which has gradually turned from the positive interaction to “strategic partnership” and “comprehensive strategic partnership”. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations，China-Micronesia relations has developed smoothly，and bilateral cooperation has grown from small to large. Great progress has been made in the fields of political mutual trust，economic and trade exchanges and human-cultural exchanges. Entering the 21st century，bilateral practical cooperation has been deepened and become a model for South-South cooperation in the process of co-building the “The Belt and Road” Initiative. This paper reviews the history of bilateral relations of China and Federated States of Micronesia，sorts out the achievements of cooperation and finds the factors affecting the development of bilateral relations. On this basis，the paper looks forward to the future development prospects of bilateral relations of China and Federated States of Micronesia.
