As the 2022 Winter Olympic Games approaches，Beijing skiing industry has kept on developing in recent years. As the number of skiers increases，the resource of ski areas becomes limited. This paper makes analysis on the characteristics of skiing industry as well as the factors that influences the development of Beijing skiing industry，arguing that the Winter Olympic Games have a positive impact on the development of Beijing skiing industry，while the natural conditions in Beijing have limits，relevant facilities and services have lacks，and covid-19 pandemic has uncertain effects. Beijing may further develop skiing sports industry by enhancing relevant facility construction，regional cooperation and industrial convergence.
