Digital economy tamps the innovation power of economic development and it is a new engine to drive high-quality economic development. Under the impact of novel coronavirus pneumonia，the digital economy has become an important force for stabilizing the economic development in Beijing. With the goal of building a global digital economy benchmark city and the “two regions” construction as an important opportunity，Beijing strengthens the top-level design and continuously optimizes the institutional environment for the development of digital economy. With the increasingly perfect innovation ecology support，the scientific breakthrough，technology innovation，industrial development and policy support are integrated，and work together to promote the development of digital technology industrialization. The level of the development of digital industry in Beijing is ahead of the national level. At the same time，by strengthening the integrated application of digital technology，Beijing continues promotes the digital transformation and upgrading of industry and services. In the process of the development of Beijing’s digital economy，there are still some problems and shortcomings，such as the ability of independent innovation of key core technology needs to be improved，the connection of supply chain，innovation chain and industry chain is not smooth，and the integration of digital economy into the real economy is insufficient. The strategic paths as breaking through key core technologies，improving the digital industry system，and promoting the deep integration of digital economy and real economy should be taken in order to further promote the high-quality development of digital economy in Beijing.
