Based on Guangzhou Social Survey 2019，this paper constructs an evaluation framework based on the theory of social capital to evaluate the current situation of community governance in Guangzhou. According to the survey，the main problems of community governance in Guangzhou are as follows：First，the regional imbalance which is mainly manifested in the imbalance between administrative divisions and different community types. Second，low trust among residents，residents and social organizations. Third，low enthusiasm of residents to participate in community governance，and poor access to participate. Fourth，low awareness rate of community organizations. Fifth，the governance efficiency needs to be strengthened，and the service management and community autonomy of the community public sector need to be further integrated. Therefore，this paper puts forward some suggestions，such as leading by regional party construction，building a platform for democratic consultation，strengthening the cultivation of community culture，improving the self-organizing ability of the community，and strengthening the construction of community rules.
