In order to promote the employment of rural residents in Beijing suburbs in the process of urbanization，a survey was conducted among rural residents in Daxing District of Beijing. The survey found that the employment rate of suburban rural residents is at a high level，the employment quality is relatively ideal，the employment satisfaction is high，and they have a strong need to improve their employability，but they are not enthusiastic enough to participate in employment training，and the evaluation of the effect of participating in vocational training is not high. At the same time，there are a small number of unemployed rural residents. The main reason of unemployment is that they can’t find suitable jobs. Based on the findings of the survey，this paper puts forward some policy suggestions，including establishing a multi-faceted employment mechanism，fully considering the employment training needs of different groups，and paying attention to potential social instability factors.
