The report focusing on 22“transformation” pilot local colleges and universities that is selected by purposive sample from The Report on Undergraduate Teaching Quality during the 2018-2019 Academic Year,is found that the “transformation” pilot colleges and universities to respond to the requirements of the national economic structure adjustment and industrial upgrading, carried out a series of reforms, such as establishing the dominant position of undergraduate education, clearly cultivating application-oriented talents to serve local economic and social development;constructing dynamic adjustment mechanism for specialty;promoting the development faculty to meet the needs of application-oriented talents training, boosting diversified forms of university-enterprise cooperation. However, there are also many problems in the process of “transformation”,such as the new tendency of homogenization, the financial input hard to meet the cultivation of application-oriented talents, and the lack of authoritative standards for “double-qualification double-ability” teachers. In order to improve the quality of application-oriented undergraduate education,it is necessary to maintain the tension between meeting the needs of the times and serving local economic and social development, realize the sharing of practical teaching resources, and develop the standard of “double-qualification double-ability” teachers.
