The development of Internet and its governance in China had achieved significant advances，with notable effectiveness in internet governance and more established idea about cyberspace ecosystem management in 2019. In 2019，China experienced significant progress in the field of Internet development and governance，with significant Internet governance effectiveness and thoroughly integrated governance on cyber ecology. Firstly，this report briefly reviewed the internet development of China in 2019 from the development of new technologies and new formats，such as online content products，online visualization，5G commercialization，artificial intelligence，and media convergence. Secondly，the report reviewed the main achievements and characteristics of Chinese internet governance in 2019，including the construction of the legal system，the administrative management of the cyberspace，Internet platforms’ duty-performing，Self-discipline organized by the industry union and social supervision respectively. Moreover，it especially analyzed the special campaigns of App management and the condition of the implementation of Internet governance in various industries. Lastly，this report explored three developing trends and four specific working areas of Chinese internet governance in the near future. The three development trends sorted out by authors are further implementation of laws and regulations，enhancement of the technological capability of cyberspace management and law enforcement，and timely advancement of the legal construction along with innovative media technologies and applications. At the same time，four specific working areas of Chinese internet governance will be strengthened，that is the governance of 5G network，AI and VR/AR，and the special campaign projects of regulation of the live-streaming services and online chatting social Apps.
