In 2018，under the guidance of the Party’s ideology，the press，publication，radio and television industry in Hubei Province has presented a high-quality development trend，and achieved remarkable results in various aspects. The creation and production of high-quality products is effective，the comprehensive deepening of reform has achieved breakthroughs，the cultural industry has achieved high-quality development，the capacity of public culture services has been continuously improved，and the administration according to law has been strengthened. However，there remains some problems：the effect of press and publishing as a mainstream media and position has not been brought into full play，whose function and position are weakened and compromised in the maintenance of ideology security，in some counties radio broadcasting and televising have been faced with a crisis of survival. In the strong atmosphere of praising the new China and the advancing new era，it is urgent to promote the four reforms of management system，supply-side structural reform，mechanism reform of program evaluation，and supervision system reform. It is also vital to improve such five systems of content production as comprehensive supervision，all media production and broadcasting，transmission coverage，and scientific and technological innovation. It is a priority to highlight the fundamental task and policy of the Party’s political construction，and strengthen all parties concerned to promote the rapid development of Hubei’s press，publication，radio and television.
