Considerable advances have been made in protection，utilization and development of Hubei Province in 2018-2019，mainly shown in constantly consolidating the foundation for the conservation and utilization of cultural heritage，steadily promoting the declaration and protection of World Cultural Heritage，new progress in the Jing-Chu culture ruins inheritance and development project，considerable success in archaeology，new achievements in restoration of cultural relics，diversity and improvement of cultural relics protection and utilization exchange，improvement of information level in cultural heritage inheritance，strengthening further in scientific research and so on. The protection and utilization of intangible heritage are proceed in an orderly way，the inheritance team is constantly expanding，level of cultural heritage inheritance and utilization continues to improve. However，in the process of cultural heritage protection and development，there are still some problems，such as the slow change of ideas，low consciousness，insufficient investment in cultural heritage protection，lack of work force，the protection and inheritance of intangible heritage is facing difficulties，and there are not many ways and means for the rational utilization and development of cultural heritage and the function of education and leisure is insufficient. Therefore，it is urgent to change the way of thinking and set up a new idea. To further promote the protection and development of cultural heritage in Hubei Province，measures should be taken to implement financial security system，policies and regulations，attract talents and innovate cultural and creative products.
