In 2019，the production and operation of China’s nuclear fuel industry remained stable，positive progress was made in scientific and technological research and development，competitiveness continued to improve，and research and production activities in the nuclear fuel industry was safe and controlled. Significant progress has been made in natural uranium prospecting，the level of uranium mining technology has been further improved，the uranium conversion capability has been further consolidated，the development of new generation uranium enrichment equipment has been steadily advanced，the special research project on spent fuel reprocessing has been generally smooth，and the breakthrough in the construction of high-level waste disposal scientific research capacity has been achieved.
