Virtual reality （VR） technology brings people a sense of immersive experience that people are interested in talking about，especially after the advent of 5G era，VR is regarded as the most expected industry in 5G era. Since 2019，there has been a dramatic increase in the number of news media using VR to produce news reports. This paper focuses on the analysis of the current situation of VR news in China since 2019，and at the same time makes a brief explanation on the possible problems of “VR news” under the existing technical conditions.
