This research focuses on the planning and implementation process of the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway Heritage Park，mainly from two aspects：planning and design and implementation strategies. In terms of planning and design，four main aspects were considered：the overall planning and design of the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway Relic Park，the urban renewal planning of the area along the park railway，the planning of the park’s starting area，and the deepening design of the key nodes of the park. On this basis，this research carried out research on implementation strategies from four aspects：innovative land use strategies，innovative space design strategies，policies and regulations first，innovative organizational models，and reshaping the historical and cultural characteristics of places. The study believes that the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway Relic Park should be regarded as an important development opportunity in the northwestern region of Beijing. It should be planned with lines and areas，based on the macro perspective of the city，and use the historical，cultural and technological advantages along the railway to create a new urban vitality center featuring creative culture，cutting-edge technology，ecological leisure，etc.
