In 2020，foreign trade in Fengxian showed effectively respond to the negative impact of COVID-19 outbreak. In the first eight months，the total value of imports and exports in Fengxian was 56.27 billion yuan，down 1.0% compared with down 3.6% in the same period of last year，the export value was 28.27 billion yuan，down 7.3%，and the import value was 28.0 billion yuan，up 6.3%，the imported scale has been larger than the exported. Domestic enterprises showed particularly prominent performance which drive general trade gradually out of the impact of the epidemic. Thanks to the new area of the Free Trade Zone and the rapid opening up of the service industry，Fengxian performed well in attracting and implementing foreign investment. In the first nine months of 2020，the contract amount of FDI attracted by Fengxian was $1.41 billion，up 92.7%，the actual amount in place of FDI was $271 million，up 26.8%. Overall，Fengxian’s external economy showed great resilience in the face of the epidemic，and Fengxian’s opening-up will be further accelerated during the 14th Five-year Plan period.
