In 2019，a total of 3，460 pieces of coverage related to China’s agriculture，rural areas and farmers were collected from the 111 media in 46 countries included in the monitoring programme，representing a year-on-year increase of 43.0 percent. The top five topic fields were agricultural trade，veterinary service and animal health，agricultural cooperation，dairy and agricultural production and food security. The top three countries in which the most reports were carried by the media are UK，Canada and America.The major focus among the foreign media were agriculture-related Sino-US trade friction and pork prices affected by African swine fever and other factors. The attention of the international community was also drawn to China’s rural revitalization strategy，and international agricultural cooperation under the Belt and Road framework.
