In 2019 in Tianjin，rural revitalization strategy was steadily implemented，rural reform was pushed forward，development of modern urban agriculture was accelerated and rural living environment continued to improve. Positive information dominated the year’s agriculture-related coverage. The year of 2019 witnessed a total of 142，900 pieces of coverage related to agriculture，rural areas and farmers，nearly 70% of which were carried by mobile APPs and social media. Widely reported stories focused on five major achievements in rural revitalization，dramatic changes in the past 70 years since the founding of P.R.C，progress in agricultural and rural reform，highlights in developing modern urban agriculture，a new round of efforts to help the poor areas to achieve high-quality development and more actions to protect rural environment to build beautiful villages. The introduction of a new policy to resume production of hogs once sparked heated public discussion.
