Biodiversity provides humans with a basic living environment and abundant material resources. It is the basis for human survival and also affects ecosystem stability and sustainability. The abundant wild animal resources in Qilian Mountain National Park have created favorable conditions for biodiversity. Effective protection and management of wild animals in Qilian Mountain National Park is the focus of attention from all walks of life. We present the general situation of wild animals in the Qilian Mountains，their protection and management status，and wildlife protection actions under the new crown initiative. Our analysis shows that there are still many problems in the protection and control of wild animals in Qilian Mountains National Park，including issues such as imperfect laws，fragmented habitats，excessive use of wildlife resources，and insufficient publicity for wildlife protection. Reasonable suggestions in response to the above issues，include perfecting wildlife protection-related laws and management regulations，improving wildlife protection management mechanisms，protecting the wildlife living environment，and increasing public participation.
