In 2020，Henan has actively responded to the impact of COVID-19 epidemic and strive to ensure the safe and stable supply of natural gas.The production of natural gas in Henan Province keeps basically stable，while the consumption of natural gas has decreased due to the impact of the epidemic.The construction of natural gas pipeline networks interconnection and gas storage facilities within Henan Province has been accelerated，and the ability to guarantee natural gas supply has been steadily improved.In 2021，driven by the steady economic growth of the province，natural gas consumption will show a restorative growth，reaching 12.5 billion cubic meters for the whole year，with a year-on-year growth of around 13.6%.Facing the new situations of complicated environment both at home and abroad，and under the background of natural gas market reform，it is suggested to strengthen the construction of the provincial gas infrastructure，further enhance the complement and replace ability，establish access mechanism of gas storage facilities for third-party，improve the price mechanism，enhance the gas supply guarantee ability，and promote the sustainable and positive development of the industry.
