Innovation is the first power to lead development. In order to improve the modernization level of Henan industrial chain，innovation is needed to achieve new breakthroughs. Modern science and technology are used to transform the traditional industrial chain，so that the industrial chain has high-end link ability，independent control ability and competitiveness level ahead of the domestic and foreign markets. However，Henan’s innovation and development capacity is still insufficient，the system and mechanism are not perfect，the main body of industry university research cooperation is scattered，and the innovation driven strategy is not effective. Therefore，based on the internal logic of innovation and industrial chain modernization promoting each other，this paper analyzes the problems existing in Henan’s innovation and development，and puts forward the path of promoting the modernization level of Henan’s industrial chain driven by innovation.
