Strengthening the construction of tourism safety management system is the basis for the sustainable development of water parks. This paper explored the basic status and situation of tourism safety management of water parks in China through a questionnaire survey. It was found that although the safety management of the parks in China had attracted the attention of the park administrative department，there were still many problems existing in the specific safety management system，such as a serious lack of security and medical personnel，backward safety management system，insufficient investment in safety facilities and equipment，and so on. To realize the safe and healthy development，these park administrations should perfect the tourism safety management system，management system，management mechanism and counterplan for safety for the construction of “one plan，three systems”，to strengthen the foundation of tourism safety management system. And，they should promote the tourism safety management from talents，capital，technology，planning and other aspects，to realize the safe and healthy development.
