Based on the assessment of Eco-City Green Paper：Report on the development of eco-city construction in China （2019，this report further analyzed the security barrier constructions of the main 84 eco-cities in the west of China. Nanning，which has the highest eco-city health index（ECHI）among all the cities in the west of China，was taken as the example to show its achievement in terms of eco-city construction. This city，relying on the advantage of its location，has made great improvements in roads，railways，civil aviation and waterway transport，and has made progress in the construction of green public transport system. Nanning government is also active in constructing “sponge city” and has launched “Blue Sky Protection Campaign”，proving to be effective. After the urban greening has been increased，the level of Nanning urban greening has become at the forefront of the country with the scenery of “Half Trees & Half Building”. “Ecology and Industry and Humanity” severing as the guide，a series of ecotourism sites with both domestic and international influences has been established. Taking the opportunity of “One Belt，One Road” strategy，Nanning now is implementing smart city with a new type. In addition，this report proposed strategies and advices in terms of garbage classification，eco-agriculture，the implement of renewable energy，green consumption with the attempt of assisting further constructions of eco-cities and its security barrier in Nanning.
