The ecological functional area of Qinling mountains includes most cities and counties of Baoji，Xi’an，Weinan，Hanzhong，Ankang and Shangluo in Shanxi province. This ecological functional area is an important water resources area in the middle route of water-transferring of China. At the same time，it is the natural boundary and intersection of five natural geographical elements of geology，climate，biology，water system and soil in the south and north of China. Based on the introduction of the concept of ecological security and related theories，this report evaluated the ecological security barrier of Qinling ecological functional area from three aspects of ecological environment，ecological economy and ecological society，and finally concluded that：from the overall evaluation results，the lowest comprehensive index of each region was 0.6443，which was in a good state of ecological security. So the result is that ecological security is relatively safe. The ecological security barrier in whole Qinling ecological function zone is a good and ideal state. Although there are some ecological environmental problems in some parts of the ecological security barrier，overall，the ecological environment is less damaged and the ecological service function is relatively complete. In some areas，the ecological environment has been well protected and basically undisturbed，the ecosystem services have been basically improved，and there are no obvious ecological problems.
