In this report，21 indicators，including ecological environment，ecological economy and ecological society，are selected to construct the evaluation index system for the construction of ecological security barriers in this region，and the comprehensive evaluation is made for the construction of ecological security barriers in Jiuquan，Jiayuguan，Zhangye，Jinchang and Wuwei. The results show that the comprehensive indexes of ecological security in Jiuquan，Zhangye and Wuwei are relatively high in 2017. The evaluation results of resource and environment carrying capacity show that the comprehensive index of resource and environment carrying capacity of Hexi inland river region in 2017 is 6.55，with high resource carrying capacity，but there are great differences among cities. In 2017，the comprehensive index of regional environmental safety of Hexi inland river was 4.33，of which Jiuquan and Wuwei were in a fragile state. The construction of the ecological security barrier in Hexi inland river region has entered an in-depth and critical period. We can continue to increase investment in wetland，river protection，sewage treatment，scientific and technological innovation，break through key points，overcome difficulties，and further promote the construction of the ecological security barrier in Hexi.
