In 2019，Guizhou’s construction industry will focus on poverty alleviation，implement the requirements of high-quality development，and successfully complete various objectives and tasks，with a total output value of 371.489 billion yuan and a growth rate of 11.6%. This paper summarizes the basic situation of the development of the engineering construction industry，and systematically reviews the comprehensive work from the aspects of deepening and improving the housing system，accelerating the transformation and management mode of construction，vigorously implementing the Rural Revitalization Strategy，accelerating the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry，further optimizing the business environment，and improving the ability and level of administration according to law. The paper points out that the overall level of the construction industry is not high，the scientific and technological innovation ability needs to be strengthened，the construction market order needs to be further standardized，and the backbone enterprises need to be vigorously cultivated. It is clear that the work in 2020 will mainly focus on the following aspects：keeping the “bottom line” of ecological development of the housing and construction industry，improving the urban and rural appearance，promoting the battle of domestic sewage treatment in small towns，promoting new breakthroughs in the reform of housing system，promoting the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry，deepening the reform of the examination and approval system for engineering construction leading projects，and promoting the deep integration of big data and housing construction industry.
