Since the outbreak of the epidemic of COVID-19，the production and life of people have been seriously affected. Beijing CDC carried out an online questionnaire survey on residents aged 15 and over in Beijing in March 2020. The results show that the overall awareness rate of the knowledge about COVID-19 of Beijing residents is 81.8%，the basic knowledge of the prevention and control of COVID-19 of Beijing residents is well mastered，and the formation rate of the belief and protective behavior to overcome the epidemic situation is very high，which indicates that the health education work and the health information dissemination in the early stage have played a positive role and the effect is obvious. In view of the common efforts of the whole society to prevent and control the epidemic situation of major infectious diseases，it is suggested to strengthen the cooperation and information exchange between departments，make effective use of traditional media and new media，carry out health education in a targeted way，improve the level of public health information literacy，do a good job in mental health education，and carry out health education effect evaluation.
