The Three Hills and Five Gardens Region in Beijing is an important historical and cultural protection area in the western suburbs of Beijing，and its place names have important academic value and development benefits. At present，there are some problems in the protection and utilization of the cultural heritage of place names in the region，such as lack of research results，destruction of historical features，insufficient publicity and narrow development vision. It is suggested to promote the protection and development of the cultural heritage of place names in the region from six aspects. We will strengthen the collection，classification and research of geographical names in the area of the Three Hills and Five Gardens Region in Beijing，establish expert groups on the work of the five parks in three hills；open up governments at all levels and relevant departments to establish unified offices for the protection and development of place names；do a good job in the management of place names and the naming of new place names should pay attention to the historical context and heritage；maintain historical and cultural features，restore the overall landscape of people with historical place names；strengthen the cultural propaganda in the area，enrich the way and the cultural vision of the western areas，and the development methods of the city.
