This report comprehensively combs the development process and current status of inclusive education in Taiwan. It summarizes the innovation and characteristics of inclusive education development in Taiwan from four aspects:A policy of moving gradually toward inclusive education,strengthening the support system,improving the supporting measures,and implementing integrative curriculum design. It also analyzes the main existing problems in the practice. Finally,some inspirations and suggestions are raised in view of strengthening support system and supporting measures,professional growth of special education teachers/resource classroom teachers,continuing to search for “win-win” strategies,and emphasizing “form follows function”.
