This article reviews the history of inclusive education development in Beijing in the past 40 years,shifting from integrating children with disabilities into regular class to promoting inclusive education at the whole system,and introduces the current situation,main experience and practicing models of inclusive education in Beijing,as well as its future development. In the article,the key measures and main experiences of promoting inclusive education in Beijing are summarized as putting the system and policies first,reasonable and scientific designing and planning,and revitalizing the existing resources,while three types of practicing models at different system levels are taken as examples,including system change model at regional level,multiple support model at school district level,and whole school promotion model at school level. Furthermore,the article recommended that the future development of inclusive education in Beijing need to prioritized on the building of inclusive culture,sharing of big data,as well as capacity building of teachers.
