Societal Psychological Service System Construction （SPSSC）has become an important task for government by improving the individual’s mental health，maintaining social stability and guiding social values. The study explored the current situation and future development direction of SPSSC through literature analysis and survey interview. The results taking Beijing residents as an example showed：（1）Over the years，the mental health of residents in our country has declined. psychological problems such as stress，sleep disorders and anxiety/depression are more serious. （2）The social mentality of residents is good but the social values need further guidance；Some residents have negative emotions because of life pressure （house，medical care，education，etc.），even tend to adopt radical approaches to unfair incidents；Intergroup conflicts are increasingly prominent. （3）Most residents agree with the importance of mental health work，but few people seeking professional help. People are eager for government departments to fully function. For the problems such as weak social mental health awareness，low mental service professionalism and accessibility，poor resource integration，limited funding/policy support，etc. Learning from the work experience of domestic and foreign psychological services，we make suggestions for SPSSC from several aspects such as education publicity，training professionals，standardized organization management，sharing information，building network platform，guarantee government funds/policies and training social psychological culture. These methods are used to promote the healthy development of psychosocial services.
