Healthy cities is the important task and grasper of Healthy China Strategy and Healthy China Campaign，and is the important part of health promotion setting. In order to promote the development of healthy cities in China，The Chinese Center for Health Education was entrusted by the National Office of Patriotic Health Campaign Committee to conduct the 2018 national health cities evaluation. The evaluation results show that the construction of healthy cities is advancing steadily，and the healthy level of the population is relatively high；rich construction experience has been accumulated，and the health management ability has been improved continuously；the healthy city construction is not balanced in different levels of cities and different regions；the healthy city construction is not balanced in different work areas，there are still some weak links；the established evaluation method can make an objective comprehensive evaluation of the healthy city construction；the healthy city evaluation method still needs further improvement. It is suggested that we should step up the construction of healthy cities，explore how to better implement the construction task of healthy China on the platform of healthy cities，and strengthen policy formulation，classification guidance and assessment.
