Improving the level and ability of administrative law enforcement is an important grasp to promote administration ruled by law，and is also an important basis of building law-based government process in China. From 2014 to 2019，the indicators concerning administrative law enforcement has been adjusted，which is based on the objective requirements of administrative law enforcement and the stability and operability of evaluation. Generally speaking，the level of legalization of administrative law enforcement of local governments has been improved，in spite of momentary obstacles. The reform of the comprehensive administrative law enforcement system was carried out in an orderly manner. Administrative law enforcement institutions and procedures have been gradually improved. The information system regarding administrative law enforcement has been continuously strengthened. The management of administrative law enforcement personnel gradually standardized. The effect of administrative law enforcement has been greatly improved，achieving a balanced development from the geographic approach. In face of such progress，we should also recognize the following problems. Comprehensive administrative law enforcement system still faces difficulties at the grassroots level. We need pay great attention to administrative law enforcement procedures，administrative law enforcement supervision，administrative law enforcement methods，and administrative law enforcement personnel management. Up to now，administrative law enforcement is still the shortcoming of the whole construction of the law-based government. At the moment of emphasizing the modernization of national governance ability，administrative law enforcement should pay more attention to it’s actual effect. The law enforcement must set up the people-centered idea，further accelerate the reform of comprehensive administrative law enforcement system，refine the institutions and procedures，regulate the administrative law enforcement personnel，develop intelligent methods and explore “flexible law enforcement”. In order to realize a fair and civilized law enforcement based on strict application and regular standards，it is also necessary to improve the internal and external coordination and enhance law enforcement ability.
