Food and drug safety is related to people’s health and life safety，and the future of all Chinese. The Party Central Committee and the State Council have always attached great importance to food and drug safety work. With the continuous improvement of food and drug regulatory system，the overall situation of food and drug safety in China has been stable，but there are also problems and risks. This paper summarizes the current problems of food and drug by analyzing the relevant data of the government regulatory department. The food problems mainly focus on the excessive use of food additives，microbial pollution and agricultural and veterinary drug residues. The medicine problems mainly focus on illegal production and shortage of quality control from certain companies. Through exploratory research，it is found that some enterprises are suspected of illegal production and low level of quality management. Based on the analysis of food and drug safety issues，this report puts forward some suggestions，such as improving the system construction，strengthening the main responsibility of producers and operators，and promoting social governance，which are all aiming at ensuring the health and life safety of the general public.
