In 2019，the legislative work in the province was carried out around high-quality development and high-standard protection，giving full play to the leading and promotive role of legislation in the reform aimed at economic and social transformation. The successful legislative experiences of Shanxi Province can be summarized as adhering the Party’s leadership，improving legislative procedures，strengthening legislation in key fields and carrying out “small incision” refined legislation. In 2020，the People’s Congress of Shanxi Province and its Standing Committee will，on the basis of summarizing the past experiences and lessons，continue to focus on the legislation aimed at transformation and comprehensive reform，intensify environment legislation，deepen the practice of “small incision” legislation，and further improve legislative mechanisms and institutions，so as to upgrade the overall legislative work to a new level.
