This article systematically analyzes the development process，existing problems and causes of foreign vocational qualification certification in China，and proposes targeted solutions and policy recommendations. In the context of economic globalization，foreign vocational qualification certification has been introduced into China and gradually developed，with Certification agencies and entry methods being diverse，and a wide range involved. However，while foreign vocational qualification certification is booming，there are also problems of lack of government supervision，uneven quality of foreign vocational qualification certification，information asymmetry of certification activities，and insufficient demand and supply. In view of those facts mentioned above，this article believes that the examination and approval system，filing system and classification management should be adopted as the ideas for strengthening supervision and management，and proposed to clarify concepts and boundaries，carry out specific investigations and researches，implement the “Domestic Activities Law”，and combat illegal and untrustworthy certification activities，give play to the role of industry associations and societies，accelerate the pace of “going out” and other specific policy recommendations.
