Community philanthropy is a substantial part of Guangzhou’s philanthropy system. With community governance innovation further advanced，Guangzhou Civil Affairs Bureau released the Workplan for Implementing the Strategy of Social Work Plus Philanthropy，covering nine initiatives which include setting up community donation stations，fostering community funds（foundations），organizing micro venture philanthropy in communities and establishing community united fundraising platforms etc. Making full use of social work stations all over the towns，social work and philanthropy are integrated and developed，grassroot communities are vitalized. Social resources are therefore led to grassroot communities to better serve community residents，promoting Guangzhou to take the lead in establishing a social governance system based on collaboration and broad participation with the goal to bring benefits to all.
