Guangzhou’s charitable organizations integrate multiple social resources into poverty alleviation and achieves remarkable effect. Based on the preliminary analysis on the textual documents of poverty alleviation task which Guangzhou charitable organizations participate in，the efforts are mainly made in education，health and voluntary service. The characteristics are summarized in the report. To be specific，party building takes the lead，charitable organizations are well organized to participate，the charity federation functions as a municipal charitable platform，poverty alleviation programs are featured in providing assistance and empowerment，and working pattern transfers from organizing the activities with a wide coverage to implementing programs with clear target. Moreover，suggestions are put forward in the report. In the era of post poverty alleviation，leading position of party building should be further stressed，coordinative role of charitable organizations in participating in poverty alleviation should be clearly positioned. Besides，participation institutionalization of social work needs to be normalized，the subjectivity of anti-poverty practitioner should be empowered and charitable organizations’ participation needs to be integrated into modernization of urban social governance.
