This report mainly uses the data of the “Accurate Assistance Needs Survey” conducted by the four departments of Beijing from 2018 to 2019，and the survey data of the Beijing Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau on the current status of the city’s elderly care institutions for dementia care services in 2019 to analyze Beijing’s disability，The current status and problems of care for the elderly with cognitive impairment. The study found that the disabled population is characterized by feminization，aging，low spouse rate，low education level，and low insurance coverage. In addition，there is a large gap in meeting the care needs of the disabled elderly in Beijing. The families of the disabled elderly have problems such as excessive care load，poor quality of care，and lack of willingness to care for their families. A study of nursing institutions for dementia in Beijing found that the current institution scales vary greatly，and new institutions are showing a trend of miniaturization. The institution occupancy rate is higher than the average occupancy rate of ordinary elderly care institutions in Beijing；and institution charges are more dispersed，in line with market demand. In general，Beijing’s “three sides and four levels” nearby elderly care service system layout has basically taken shape，but the service capacity of family care and institutional care is still relatively weak.
